Scarsdale Diet For Weight Loss

In case of the Scarsdale diet, it has been noted that while it is a low carb diet, it restricts the amount of calorie consumption to around 700 calories which is extremely unhealthy. Under normal conditions, women require about 1200 calories and men about 1400 calories daily and a minimum of 800 calorie daily intake is advised during diets. Therefore such low caloric inputs as suggested in case of Scarsdale diets are prone to harming the body. The Scarsdale diet is therefore not concerned with the maintenance of the body’s welfare and goes blindly into guaranteeing drastic weight loss similar to fad diet programs. The Scarsdale diet also encourages a very strict and compact diet program which under most circumstances is difficult to maintain after a period of time and like the fad diets, once the Scarsdale diet is discontinued, weight loss is apparent.
